I was talking with no23/the_fog (the guy who helped bring back online PS2 games such as Resident Evil Outbreak and Twisted Metal Black) and he said that he developed a mostly functional test server for the original Monster Hunter on PS2 (a personal favorite of mine) just never finished/released it.

When asked if the project would ever resume development, he said it could happen if at that place was enough involvement in information technology. Then nosotros created a survey to assistance judge interest. If y'all're interested in playing this game online, speak upwards! Now's your adventure!

Same matter with Auto Modellista US Tuned ala SLPM-65286 , he even showed pics of succesful networking!

I think a plenty of usa stepped up to say 'yeh we are rdy for it' but not heard back unfortunately

How can deathless/thefog/No23 exist contacted, I saw him in the er a Outbreak server but no reply

This is the one PS2 game I wish I could have played online back in the day. Now if only someone could bring back Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii...

I'chiliad with ya, Tri is great. There's 3 Ultimate of grade which is ameliorate in most ways, but the online merely wasn't as good equally Tri.

But an update on the project, things are looking promising. We've gotten by the point of "Should we do information technology" and have gotten to the point of "What exercise we do next?". I'll keep updating this thread every bit things happen.

Any updates ReaderRagfish? I only ask because you mentioned in the Surface area 51 thread "... we've been testing/debugging a Monster Hunter server and information technology'south a ton of fun". Then it works to some degree?
